our principles

The Latino labor Leadership Council is founded on the principles of advocacy, leadership and systemic change.

Advocacy

We walk alongside the families we serve and model advocacy for them so they can become their family’s best advocate.

Leadership

We embrace leadership with our program participants who find their voices, and in doing so, help others.

We also embrace partnerships with our elected officials. With every family they meet, the electeds gain insights and sow compassion while developing lasting relationships with the constituents they serve. When families partner and volunteer with us they develop communication and leadership skills that are integral to their careers as doctors, teachers, social workers or elected officials themselves.

Systemic change
We interact with systems, agencies and politicians. We provide crucial support to promote change and transform policy and systems to help our communities thrive.
